Hokies fall to 14th in AP Poll

After the 34-24 loss to Alabama in the Georgia Dome Saturday night, the Virginia Tech Hokies fell from seventh to 14th in the AP Top 25 poll. They are one spot behind Oklahoma, who fell from third after losing 14-13 to BYU.

Drop 7 spots after losing to a higher ranked team? Oklahoma drops 10 after losing to an unranked team? That's shit. I don't think VT should be top 10, but can we at least be in front of the guys that lost to the unranked team?

well...byu was 20th, but still i see your point. I think everybody knows that OU would have beaten BYU had Bradford not gone down, and when he is healthy they are a better team than the Hokies. I was surprised Tech fell to 14...i thought it would go to about 12.

Yeah, I realized BYU was actually ranked a little later /facepalm. 12th sounds about right. I mean, VT was a holding call and a fumble away from beating Alabama. Now that Gresham is out, OU's offense just lost a little of it's spark.

yeah...oklahoma is gonna have a very tough time without Gresham, let alone missing Bradford for a little while...if he is not back for Texas you can write them off...
